Dutch number one Soraya de Visch Eijbergen: I unwillingly found my biggest obstacle to date

After the adrenaline inducing win during the Dutch National Championships I felt great discomfort in my left heel. Yesterday I learned that there's a rupture in my achilles and it will keep me off court for about three to four months.

Jij het nieuws, wij een tikkie!

I unwillingly found my biggest obstacle to date. Although I physically feel the pain of this injury and am struggling with this new reality, I know and must imprint on myself that this is something I will overcome. My athletic goal lies beyond this injury, beyond this obstacle.

Right now, I thank all of you for supporting me. Stay with me on this journey, during this recovery. Better things are to come!
