To my dearest family, friends and fans. As of the 1st of September 2016, I decided to retract myself out of the Dutch Badminton National Team and to follow my own path in badminton.
The world of badminton is bigger than the Dutch national team and to widen my game play it is also time for me to learn at several places or countries. Also the real world is longing for me. Calling it a different kind of career as we speak. After competing for ten years for the national team, winning a lot of tournaments, competing at the highest level, rank 16 of the world in mixed doubles and rank 23 of the world in ladies doubles, earning the bronze medal for both mixed and ladies doubles at the European Badminton Championships I can really look back and be proud of what I have accomplished.
This is not a goodbye or a curtain that finally calls. I will still compete at the highest level for my club BCB Bischmisheim and will very soon partner up with a new player.
Last but not least, I would like to thank Yonex and CBA for sponsoring me during my career.
Also to my father for always bringing me to all the tournaments and his loving support.
And Iris Tabeling, my double partner for years, flying to all these beautiful countries, being number 23 of the world and winning the bronze medal together, I wish you all the luck with your new partner, go get them!
See you all soon...
And under a different name.
