Soraya de Visch Eijbergen: out for 8-12 weeks with torn ankle ligament
Hi everyone, sorry that I haven't been active on social media for a while. Last week on Tuesday (January 24th, -red.) I got myself injured while training.

I jumped high up and came down the wrong way. One of my right ankle's ligaments got ripped off and released itself from the bone. It has been some really tough days and I have been struggling to keep myself positive. The prognosis is that I can hopefully return back to court within 8-12 weeks.
I will do my best to return as soon as possible. Unfortunately I will miss out the Nationals this weekend and the Europeans teams a week after. This has been very tough on me as I will lose my status as Dutch National Champion. It feels a bit unfair as I felt so ready and happy to play on home soil again.
For now I have to keep positive and believe in a good recovery.
Thanks for all the support these last few days, I'll be back!
