Jacco Arends: I am definitely going to miss Jelle!

I'm pretty satisfied with my results in mixed. Doubles wasn't as good, and we need to show more consistency if we want to make the next step.

However, this was my last doubles with Jelle in a while. I'm going to focus on mixed doubles now for the Olympics. I am definitely going to miss this guy!

Selena and I won our tough first round against Kido/Bernadeth from Indonesia. They used to be in the top 10 for quite a while, we knew what they were capable of. We also knew Kido could break if we fought hard for every point. That's just what we did, which I'm happy about.

In the quarter finals we had to play another Indonesian pair, world numbers 4 and ex world champions Ahmad/Natsir. I'm happy that we started off with confidence and stole the first set. It's good to show a world class pair we are not afraid of them. In the second and third set they clearly stepped up. We tried to follow them, but simply made too many mistakes.
