Jacco Arends: 'The two week trip to New York and Calgary comes to an end'

It's good to show we can handle that pressure! Next step is to stunt against higher ranked pairs. But more importantly, we now have a few good ranking points in the Olympic qualification period.

Today we lost to Lee and Chai without being close. Even though we wanted to win so badly, we couldn't find that eagerness or that mental freshness you need to win against pairs like this. We need to figure out how to handle that in the future.

This last period has been demanding. We've been traveling and on tournaments the last 7 out of 8 weeks. This trip has brought me to many great places. I fell in love with the Rocky Mountains here in Alberta, Canada for example. But I can't wait to go home now and not have badminton on my mind for a few days.
