Soraya de Visch Eijbergen starts in the Prague Open 2015 opposite Nicola Cerfontyne

My alarm clock went off at 4:30 this morning for an early KLM-flight to Prague. I'll play my first match in the FZ Forza Prague Open 2015 tomorrow, Thursday September 24.

Due to my early arrival I've been able to check out the hall and see some qualification matches.

Originally the draw had me sided opposite Rong Schafer, a player I know all too well from our last match just two weeks ago in Leuven. A re-match, however, will have to wait. Schafer has withdrawn and qualifier Nicola Cerfontyne (WR 153) from England got a bump straight into the main tournament.

Our head-to-head reads a 0-1 advantage for Cerfontyne, who is five years my senior and has two national championship titles under her belt. My conviction is that every match starts with a clean slate: I am really amped to get going here in Prague tomorrow!

By the time this update goes online I will have just about finished a weight training session. I find that sticking to my schedule - wherever I am - gives me confidence. You could say I am a creature of habit ;-)
