Selena Piek withdraws from French Open 2016 due to foot injury

After working really hard both on and off court taking care of my injury, I had to be realistic about my chances of playing in this week French Open. I really regret withdrawing from another great tournament but physically it's the only right decision.

Mentally on the other hand it's one of the most toughest decisions to make. Luckily I am surrounded by amazing people who are helping me getting back in shape and who are taking care of my body.

For now I will need to stay patient (one of my strongest qualities, not) and focus on getting back even stronger. Thank you once again for the well wishes, they are much appreciated!!!
